Creatures of Sonaria Ancient Species Awaken (August 2026)

Two Creatures of Sonaria timers line up for late August 2026. Ancient Species Awaken is scheduled 21 August 2026, 1:20 PM PT through 28 August 2026, 1:30 PM PT. Return of the Claw overlaps the opening weekend: 21 August 1:20 PM PT through 24 August 1:20 PM PT. Those stamps come from the live event board tracked on community wikis as of 18–19 August 2026. Believe the in-game panel the moment Friday hits—Sonar can rename a week without rewriting every thumbnail.

This page is a prep map, not a fake patch note. Until the panel lists exact species, currencies, and mission names, we will not invent a Tier chart. Use it to finish Summer leftovers, free storage, and bank Shooms before the next crowd arrives.

What we know before launch

• Ancient Species Awaken runs about a week. Expect returning or remixed “ancient” themed content: limited cosmetics, mission creatures, or shop rows that later become Trade Realm targets.
• Return of the Claw is a shorter three-day spike in the same Friday open. Crab / claw branding usually means a focused weekend objective, not a full season rewrite.
• Neither event is a code. If a video pastes RIA2026 or 200kyoutube as the “Ancient unlock,” compare it to the codes hub and the expired archive.
• Summer Paradise Week 3 content (including Gubbin via Coral Snail) was already rotating when these timers appeared. Finish Coral Snail and Logavian while those panels still show, then pivot.

Prep checklist (do this before Friday PT)

1. Store adults you care about. Patch Fridays are loud. A stored slot survives a client crash; a live juvenile on a claw objective does not.
2. Bank Shooms. Event shops and gacha checkboxes love a stack. Use the survival tick and regional missions from how to get Shooms.
3. Clear monthly leftovers. If Pseudora or another Timed row is still open, finish login days and nests now so Ancient week is not a double calendar.
4. Check the gift menu once. Redeem anything still live on the codes hub, then ignore recycled milestone thumbnails.
5. Pick a diet you can feed in a crowd. The beginner tier list and diet checklist beat a hype carnivore you cannot keep alive near an objective rock.
6. Read controls if you are rusty. Controls for sniff (H), hide scent (N), and the red-door exit still matter when the UI gains a new event banner.

How to play the opening hours

When the panel flips, open it before you spawn. Note the currency name, the featured mission creature, and whether Return of the Claw has its own row or shares the Ancient shop. Screenshot the tasks. Then spawn a species that can reach the objective biome without starving.

Do not spend permanent Shooms on a panic gacha until you know the shop price of the thing you actually want. Summer players already learned that lesson with Pearls versus mush. If Ancient uses a new token, farm the token; if it reuses Shooms, keep a reserve for Trade Realm after the weekend.

Return of the Claw ends Monday PT. Prioritize its exclusive rows first if both boards compete for the same session. Ancient Species still has days left after the claw weekend closes.

Honest limits

We will not list fake creature stats, invented mission names, or a YouTube ID that does not exist yet. When Sonar publishes the live tasks, this page should be updated with the real checklist and a single mid-article video if a unique walkthrough appears. Until then, the winning move is boring: storage, Shooms, finished summer missions, and a species you can feed.

If you only have one session before 21 August PT, spend it on Coral Snail or Pseudora—not on watching ten “LEAKED ANCIENT TIER LIST” thumbnails that show last year’s crab.
